The First Creation

A passion & AN iDEA…

MAgYK Creations has been evolving since 2017. After a couple of years of seeking out my passions in life and being reminded of my childhood loves of ‘pretty rocks’, sparkly things and anything magical, I decided I’d like to work with crystals and make jewellery or artwork with them using Sterling Silver to showcase their beauty; as Silver is the precious metal I have always been attracted to.

Shortly after this realisation, I had one of those thoughts that come into your mind at 3am like a bolt of lightning; it was the word ‘Magyk’. As I pondered it, I was delighted to realise this word was much more than it seemed. I recognised it was the word ‘magic’ but I saw it was spelled with the letters of my name ‘K, Y & M’ albeit, backwards. My next immediate realisation was that the remaining two letters ‘A & G’, happen to be the symbol for Silver on the Periodic Table (Ag). It was perfect! ‘MAgYK’ ~ the amalgamation of Myself, Silver, and Magic.

Now let me introduce you to my very special cat-friend, Furrari; pronounced almost like ‘Ferrari’ because she is red (a ginger) and has a big motor (purr)…but with fur! Read on to hear her story and how she inspired me with the evolution of my passions, my craft, and the creation of ‘MAgYK Creations’.

Furrari’s Story

…and her gift

Furrari and I were destined to be with each other. She was born in 2011 and while we did not meet until late 2013, our paths had been shifting so we could come together. A little while after we met, I noticed she was not as well as she could be. After many veterinary tests over many months, it was found that she was producing crystals in her kidneys and bladder which were harming her renal system, greatly impacting her health and well-being. After the initial intensive treatment to reduce the crystals in her system, her Vet and I developed a plan to monitor and manage her condition with regular comprehensive check-ups and a prescribed diet. Her condition became stable, however, by the age of three her kidneys had suffered significant damage.

In addition to being very concerned for Furrari’s health, I was personally having a tough time throughout 2015. Furrari is a highly empathic cat. Like many pets, anything I was feeling in a mental or emotional sense, she was sensing and absorbing into her own energy field. While I wasn’t aware of it at the time, I can now see that when I was mentally or emotionally struggling with aspects of my life, it was having an instant effect on her physical health, usually in the form of a UTI which I knew could further damage her renal system.

In early 2016, my life’s circumstances had catapulted me into starting my own personal awareness journey. During this time, I would intuitively choose crystals to assist with certain aspects of my personal growth. Through my own circumstances, I came to understand and observe how animals are highly sensitive to any change in the energetic environment, whether it be the energy a human is creating with our thoughts and emotions, or the energy a crystal is emitting. With this awareness I started to consciously and energetically assist Furrari’s wellness. In addition to addressing my own thoughts and emotions, I began to use crystals with the intention they could assist Furrari and her well-being.

I would place crystals for specific purposes around her and her environment if she showed any sign of being unwell. I found she was very responsive. I observed dramatic improvement and quite often very quickly. I believe her acceptance of the subtle energetic frequencies that different crystals emit has helped her overall wellness on her journey too.

I realised how beautiful and magical it was that crystals assist the animal kingdom so effortlessly. And that was it…my passion had been formed…I was going to create beautiful Crystal & Sterling Silver charms, for the animal kingdom.

* In 2021, Furrari had her 10th birthday and I am so very happy and grateful that her overall health is in a wonderful state. I am looking forward to another decade of her antics, love and endless ginger fluff in my world.

Fur-Ever Grateful

Furrari is the most significant animal companion I have had the honour of having a connection with on such a personal level. She is loving, brave, protective, caring, empathetic and so very wise and soulful. She is my animal and I am her person, and together we make each other’s time here on Earth a much more loving and fulfilling experience.

Thank you Furrari, for being the one to remind me what ignites my heart and soul. You bring light when it’s dark, and add ‘warms’ to my heart. You have led me to reconnect with my passions and inspired me to use my craft with the intention to assist other animals (and their humans) to create a more magical life of their own. ∞
